Imagine landing on earth... somewhere in the US... with a complete blank slate politically and economically... having never been exposed to political discourse and debate, or encumbered by the learnings and lessons of history.

Just kidding (kind of). As frustrating as our collective ignorance can be, the saving grace in it all is that most people actually want the best for the nation, their friends, neighbors, and family. We all want basically the same thing... we're not fighting over the end goals... most political disagreement is about *how* we get to that end goal.
Basically, we all share the characteristic of being ignoramuses who care. At least we have that going for us.
This story is a reflection of that... and the pursuit of the perfect utopia that must be out there. Probably. Maybe.
